About the role

Senior patent litigator to support Apple’s IP litigation globally, directly formulating and driving strategy, advising internal clients, and managing day-to-day patent litigation matters with self-sufficiency and trial-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for Apple’s products and businesses across the globe within IP litigation.
  • Formulate and drive strategy for patent litigation matters and provide counsel to internal clients.
  • Manage day-to-day progress of patent cases and identify risks, exposures, and strategic opportunities for resolution.
  • Operate as part of a team to protect Apple’s interests and occasionally engage with outside counsel, taking leadership in strategy and execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent litigation experience
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
  • Strong technology interest and aptitude
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Preference for broad patent litigation experience, especially standard essential patent litigation and/or ITC experience
  • Trial experience strongly preferred
