About the role

RF test system validation specialist focusing on end-to-end test ownership for motherboards and fully assembled units, with cross-functional collaboration across RF systems, hardware design, and operations to ensure zero-defect manufacturing and robust test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Test Ownership: Lead the design, development, and optimization of functional test systems for both motherboards and fully assembled form factor units.Define test strategies, coverage, and specifications to ensure zero-defect escapes.
  • Factory & Vendor Leadership: Manage test vendor scoping/qualification and drives mass production support, yield improvements, and cycle-time optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Engineering (EE/ME): Deploy strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to resolve complex fixture, instrumentation, and station hardware issues. Debug chip level or board level de-sense and EMI issues.Collaborate with RF systems and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface methodology, and programming sequence and RF calibration programming.
  • Data Analytics & Yield Management: Perform large-volume data analysis on test logs and manufacturing metrics to identify trends, root-cause failures, and anomalies.Qualify and maintain station hardware integrity using GR&R (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility), factory audits, and calibration protocols.
  • Prepare and present concise Test Engineering program status updates to the Exec team on a weekly basis

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electronics/Electrical, Computer Science - Engineering or Physics, Masters / Phd preferred.
  • 5+ years of work experience in any RF production/manufacturing test development, debugging, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of RF test equipment (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, vector signal generator, etc).
  • Good knowledge of RF, PLL, and general wireless systems measurements (i.e., IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, etc).
  • Able to communicate effectively in a worldwide environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in dynamic environment.
  • Experience qualifying RF test stations/fixtures for mass production, including RF correlation across test coverage and calibration station cross-tool matching.
  • Required to understand, plan development builds and mass production with factories worldwide.
  • Experienced in working with multi-functional teams such as hardware design, system teams, capital equipment, quality and process engineering.
  • Knowledgeable in crafting tester qualification requirements including calibration, correlation, capability, repeatability and reproducibility, design of experiments and failure analysis.
