About the role

Patent-litigation focused attorney to support Apple’s IP team, provide strategic counsel to internal clients, and manage day-to-day progress of patent cases with a trial-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for Apple’s products and businesses across the globe.
  • Engage in formulating and driving strategy for patent litigation matters and counsel internal clients.
  • Handle day-to-day progress of patent cases with independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Identify, manage risks and exposures, and find strategic opportunities for resolution in patent litigation.
  • Work closely with a team of lawyers, legal specialists, and support staff to protect Apple’s interests.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of major law firm and/or in-house patent litigation experience
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
  • Strong technology interest and aptitude
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Preference for broad patent litigation experience, especially standard essential patent litigation and/or ITC experience
  • Trial experience strongly preferred
