About the role

Research scientists/engineers to create breakthrough innovations in machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, and related areas with a focus on image/video synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and neural rendering. Collaboration with world-class ML researchers and engineers to advance technologies across the Apple ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prototype state-of-the-art ML/vision/graphics solutions in image and video synthesis, 3D reconstruction, and neural rendering.
  • Build complete prototypes achieving state-of-the-art performance in relevant areas.
  • Contribute across the ML research stack from low-level system programming to high-level algorithm development.
  • Deliver clean, well-tested code and robust software engineering in complex systems.
  • Publish research findings in top conferences and journals as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Research experience in 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, view synthesis, image & video synthesis
  • Publication record in conferences (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH)
  • Solid software engineering skills with fluency in Python
  • Expertise in ML algorithms and best practices for deep learning systems
  • Proficiency with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, etc.)
  • Comfort across the entire ML research stack from low-level systems to high-level algorithm development
  • Strong ability to deliver complete prototypes with state-of-the-art performance
