About the role

Senior Financial Analyst role supporting the Carrier RTM (Route-to-Market) organization within Sales Finance in Japan. Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other Finance teams to oversee performance of Apple’s products/services, advise on revenue and margin growth, and lead key finance projects end-to-end across local and global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Track industry trends, carrier pricing and program dynamics, and local market conditions, translating data into actionable recommendations that inform sales strategy.
  • Actively participate in the unit forecast process, spotting and executing key sales actions to capture opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to build and execute investment strategies — including demand generation, partner margins, and fixture investments — ensuring investments meet rigorous financial metrics.
  • Own the estimation and analysis of ROI, and manage governance including quarter-end spend, accruals, and compensation plans.
  • Build strong relationships with Worldwide Sales Finance, sharing geo-specific market insight, championing geo-led proposals, and contributing to global Sales Finance processes and tools.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Global Business Solutions to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial processes, including sales incentive calculations, performance reporting, and partner payouts.
  • Assemble financial analysis and contribute to quarterly and annual business reviews with Sales leadership. Lead key finance projects end-to-end — including Worldwide-driven initiatives such as process streamlining — coordinating across local and regional stakeholders to bring them to successful completion with sound judgment on when to escalate versus proceed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or another relevant quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of progressive corporate finance experience, directly supporting business partners; people leadership experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience building business models and forecasts from complex, incomplete, or evolving data.
  • Sound judgment for navigating unclear situations, including knowing when to proceed independently versus involve the right stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial analysis clearly and persuasively to varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, and business-level Japanese.
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard business tools (e.g., Keynote, Business Objects, Slack).
