About the role

Embedded AI-focused technical sales engineer role in Agile Labs, bridging customer needs with the AI platform stack in DoD/government contexts. Hybrid in McLean, VA with TS/SCI eligibility requirements and travel.

Responsibilities

  • The Sales Engineer is the technical voice in customer engagements, translating customer problems into demonstrations of capability within the mission context from first conversation to fielded proof.
  • Work in front of customers and inside the platform; not a quota-carrying closing seat or back-office role.
  • Be the bridge between customer needs and the stack, driving demonstrations and customer understanding to earn the next engagement.

Qualifications

  • College degree in computer science or relevant field preferred.
  • 4+ years in a sales engineering, solutions architecture, forward-deployed engineering, or technical pre-sales role — ideally serving DoD, IC, or federal civilian customers.
  • Hands-on technical fluency: building and demonstrating software, APIs/integrations, understanding modern AI systems (agents, orchestration, RAG, evaluation).
  • Strong discovery and requirements instincts; ability to write functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce briefs/proposal content that withstands technical scrutiny.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, active Secret with eligibility/willingness to upgrade, or ability to obtain either.
  • Willingness to travel to customer and field sites.
