About the role

Senior Backend Software Engineer to join Nebius's Cloud Monetization Platform team, building the platform powering Nebius Cloud revenue flows (GPU hours, storage, network, reservations, contracts, payments). Remote or Amsterdam-based.

Responsibilities

  • Design clean abstractions for a rapidly evolving business model
  • Build reliable distributed workflows with correctness, consistency, and performance
  • Help shape a modern platform from the ground up
  • Work on distributed backend systems and microservice architectures
  • Contribute to scalable backend services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain ownership mindset
  • Contribute to billing/payment/pricing-related capabilities (bonus)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of Python or willingness to quickly become productive with our technology stack
  • Experience building distributed backend systems and microservice architectures
  • Understanding of distributed transactions, consistency models, and reliable asynchronous workflows
  • Experience designing scalable backend services
  • Strong communication and ownership mindset
  • Experience with Billing, payments or pricing systems is a plus (bonus)
