About the role

Senior Software Engineer focused on building the Capacity and Quota Management control plane, responsible for determining compute allocation and quota enforcement across Nebius services.

Responsibilities

  • Define how Capacity and Quota Management matures from technical foundations to long-term tradeoffs.
  • Develop and own the capacity reservation engine (guaranteed GPU reservations, rebalancing, auto-reclamation).
  • Develop and own the Quotas Control Plane (manages quotas, handles customer quota requests, runs resource distribution algorithms).
  • Expose functionality through APIs for external customers, internal users, and downstream services to observe and control limits.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of Python or willingness to quickly become productive with our technology stack
  • Experience building distributed backend systems and microservice architectures
  • Understanding of distributed transactions, consistency models, and reliable asynchronous workflows
  • Strong communication and ownership mindset
