About the role

Drive end-to-end delivery of large-scale ML and GenAI programs within Apple Media Products (AMP); lead strategy, planning, and execution across cross-functional teams to deliver multiple concurrent ML/GenAI features, optimize processes, and contribute to AMP’s ML/GenAI strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI (GenAI) programs and features within Apple Media Products (AMP).
  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent ML/GenAI features, encompassing scope definition, requirements gathering, timeline management, and resource allocation.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners to define product roadmaps and manage the feature intake pipeline.
  • Spearhead initiatives to optimize feature development and execution processes within the AMP organization, driving continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall ML/GenAI strategy for AMP and communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive technical scoping, effort estimation, and resource allocation discussions with engineering, research, and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate high-level AI/ML/GenAI product vision into detailed engineering roadmaps and execution plans across Product, Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform, etc.
  • Oversee end-to-end engineering execution across ML, Data, Platform, SRE teams; track milestones; facilitate decisions; coordinate launches and post-launch improvements.
  • Identify and mitigate technical blockers, architectural challenges, and inter-team dependencies; develop contingency plans.
  • Facilitate clear technical communication across diverse teams and leadership; articulate progress, trade-offs, challenges, and solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program management experience with end-to-end software/ML lifecycle across multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end Machine Learning projects (data acquisition, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, improvement).
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience executing cross-functional and cross-organization projects; ability to work across diverse teams and drive delivery.
  • Ability to extract action plans from complex technical discussions and translate into succinct status updates for multi-functional/executive audiences.
  • Experience building globally distributed products by collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Design, and partners.
  • Track record of shipping complex customer-facing and backend engineering projects under tight timelines.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal) for all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and create order.
