About the role

Mid-level quality engineer focused on automating testing for the Wi-Fi stack across Apple devices. Builds and operates large-scale test automation, explores AI/ML approaches to improve test coverage and triage, and collaborates with development and testing teams to enhance testability and reliability of Wi‑Fi software and hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate a large-scale test automation lab for multiple Apple products
  • Write automation for new and existing features to validate Wi-Fi
  • Debug and trouble-shoot device hardware and software failures
  • Execute, analyze, report and debug issues as part of software testing execution cycles
  • Work with industry standard tools to create micro-services, tools and pipelines to support our continuous integration effort
  • Explore and apply AI/ML techniques to improve test coverage, failure triage, log analysis, and root-cause identification across the CI pipeline
  • Build and integrate AI-assisted automation tools (e.g., LLM-based test generation, intelligent test-stability analysis, agentic debugging assistants) to accelerate development and testing workflows
  • Evaluate and prototype emerging AI tooling (e.g., MCP-based agents, AI assistants) to streamline lab operations and reduce manual triage effort
  • Work with engineering teams to drive testability efforts to improve the way we test our software and hardware, incorporating AI-driven insights where applicable

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in Software QA Automation Engineering
  • Experience in one or more Scripting/Programming Languages including Swift/SwiftUI, Objective C or Python
  • Experience in automating tests at Unit, API, UI, non-UI level
  • Experience with Continuous Integration systems
  • Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
  • Experience with AI and problem solving
  • BS in computer science or equivalent experience
