About the role

Role focused on FATP (Final Assembly Test and Pack) test solutions development and test vendor management. Design, validate, and optimize FATP test stations; pursue test methods, labor/cost reduction, and automation. Requires collaboration across hardware, software, and product design, with significant travel to domestic and overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Design for Testability: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate ERS and ensure system-level functionalities are tested logically and efficiently. Guide vendors on FATP fixture design, ensuring proper mechanical alignment, electrical connectivity, and robust performance in a factory environment.
  • Test Station Qualification: Collaborate with test station vendors to bring up FATP test stations and test coverage. Manage the calibration of test instruments and Golden Units. Use statistical tools (GR&R, SPC, Cp/Cpk) to ensure test setups are repeatable and reproducible under mass-production conditions.
  • Failure/Data Analysis: Analyze tester-related failures by deep diving into test theories/algorithms; define DOEs to figure out root causes. Analyze factory test data to fine-tune test limits, optimize test methods, improve yield, and reduce test time.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in FATP test station design for consumer electronics; FATP test station qualification including instrument calibration, Golden Unit correlation, repeatability, and reproducibility in high-volume manufacturing; system-level testing troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
