About the role

Lead the development of learning-based dexterous control algorithms for multi-fingered robotic hand hardware, bridging research and production software to enable high-DOF manipulation in simulation and on physical hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical authority for dexterous manipulation and create the long-term technical roadmap.
  • Design and enforce foundational software frameworks for manipulation and balance autonomous logic with high-fidelity teleoperation.
  • Perform and direct the integration of state-of-the-art research and deploy learning-based policies and vision-integrated systems.
  • Lead the strategy for high-fidelity simulation and optimize policy transitions to physical hardware.
  • Influence hardware design by driving specifications for sensing, DOF, and torque profiles.
  • Oversee the transition from research to fleet-wide deployment, ensuring performance and reliability of production-grade code.
  • Foster technical rigor, mentor robotics leaders, and set architectural standards across the organization.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years with a PhD) focused on robotic manipulation or complex motion control.
  • Proven track record of deploying complex algorithms from research/simulation to physical hardware.
