Senior Functional Verification Engineer (Graphics/Multimedia)

About the role
Senior-level ASIC/SoC functional verification role within AMD's Client/Graphics Group focusing on pre-silicon verification, testbench development, and collaboration across architecture, IP design, and physical design teams to ensure first pass silicon success.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the pre-silicon verification for full chip, blocks, multi-chip and system-level verification
- Specify design verification plan at SoC level/IP level
- Specify or review verification plans for complex blocks within the ASIC
- Develop complex verification environment using coverage/assertions-based verification methodology, including self-checking, reusable automated verification environments at full-chip and block level
- Use constrained random generators and reference models
- Carve out the scope and work hands-on on functional verification
- Guide/mentor junior team members
- Work with internal/external stakeholders to drive company-wide solutions
Qualifications
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in ASIC Design Verification
- Excellent knowledge of ASIC Design Flow and SOC architecture
- Experience in developing complex testbenches/models in Verilog, SystemVerilog or SystemC
- Experience with coverage-based verification methodology
- Experience in writing testplans and testcases
- Excellent debug skills in functional simulations
- Experience in random test generation, coverage analysis, failure debug
- Experience in low power concepts/verification (NLP/UPF) and emulation is good-to-have
- Strong Verilog, SystemVerilog, PLI interface, C/C++, Perl/shell scripting programming skills
- Very strong communication skills and ability to foster a global/team environment
