About the role

Genius role in Apple Retail combining troubleshooting with customer service to repair and educate customers on Apple products and services. Requires extensive product knowledge, repair capabilities, and mentoring of team members while maintaining an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help customers with Apple product or software issues using tools and resources provided by Apple
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs and recommending products/services
  • Educate customers on repair options and Apple offerings
  • Identify recurring repair problems and communicate feedback to Apple
  • Mentor and be a positive role model for Genius Bar team members
  • Support leadership in resolving customer escalations
  • Perform other tasks as needed, including supporting customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment and model Apple's values of inclusion and diversity

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience
  • Ability to visually inspect hardware and perform repairs safely (fine motor skills)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment
  • Proficiency in the local language (written and spoken)
