About the role

Engineering program manager (EPM) to work with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to define, instrument, track and report KPIs for Apple Products; drive cross-functional programs measuring success for Apple products and report insights to stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Define how to measure new features and report key insights on those products to stakeholders and executives.
  • Drive cross-functional programs focused on measuring success for different Apple products.
  • Partner with engineering management and product teams to define customer success and key performance indicators.
  • Work with engineering teams to implement metrics and collaborate with data science to report key insights to stakeholders including Marketing and Engineering Leadership.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, building collaborative relationships across the organization and handling conflicts and challenges.
  • Communicate status and risks clearly and maintain a focus on successful outcomes and delivery.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in project or program management, leading cross-functional software engineering or data science teams in large organizations
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, design trade-offs with thorough understanding of testing, build and release processes for complex software
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and resolve conflicts within large, complex teams; analytical thinking and product mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly
  • Prior experience in hands-on software development or data science
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to foster trust across teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Curiosity and passion for new technologies, with the ability to quickly understand technical concepts
