About the role

Quality Engineer role within Apple's IS&T organization focusing on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement for customer support platforms and AppleCare’s online support platform. Emphasis on testing strategies, automation, and leveraging AI evaluation frameworks to improve QE workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, build tools, and test frameworks.
  • Perform QA processes across development lifecycles to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Debug and identify software issues; contribute to automation and tool development.
  • Test APIs and integrate with automation scripting/tools and test harnesses (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, RestAssured, Appium).
  • Leverage Gen AI evaluation frameworks, agents, plugins to enhance QE workflow efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with partners to deliver data-driven, personalized experiences and support growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent. 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL).
  • Experience understanding and/or testing with APIs.
  • Programming experience with automation scripting/tools/tests harness (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, RestAssured, Appium).
  • Experience with building & leveraging Gen AI evaluation frameworks, skills, agents, plugins for QE workflow efficiencies.
  • Strong debugging skills to identify software issues.
