About the role

Design, architect, develop, and launch next-generation display technologies in Apple products. Lead the effort to develop the next generation Apple display ICs by defining silicon architecture and requirements, coordinating with external vendors and internal teams, validating functionality and performance, and qualifying ICs for mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Architecting the display silicon and display sub-system
  • Establishing display driver IC critical blocks design rules and guidelines
  • Authoring display silicon engineering requirement specification
  • Working with the silicon teams to perform and review simulations
  • Working with cross-functional teams to optimize the design for custom Apple products
  • Defining the roadmap for the next generation display silicon and display subsystem
  • Managing silicon and system-level risk and performance tradeoffs

Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in leading chip architecture and/or analog mixed-signal design and integration
  • Design experience in Amplifiers, DACs, Oscillators, High-speed Links
  • Experience in design, development, and launch of high volume ICs in consumer electronics
  • Knowledge of digital, analog & IC design fundamentals, rigorous process development and analytical methodology, which lead to high quality design, is required
  • Ability to conduct experiments during silicon debug, gathering and analyzing data
  • Highly motivated technical DRI with the desire to solve interesting problems
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with a proven ability to drive technical solutions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • MS and a minimum of 6 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in developing and manufacturing high volume products and vendor management
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, Verilog or similar simulation, design and modeling tools
  • Knowledge in electronic displays, image quality, or graphics subsystem is a plus
