About the role

Senior Software Engineer role with Applied Intuition Defence UK in London. Build, deploy, and mentor while delivering modern C++ software, field integration, and customer-focused solutions for autonomous capabilities across defense domains.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of new tools and products, taking them through from incubation all the way to production
  • Spot the ineffectiveness of the processes and code to ensure the team works efficiently
  • Integrate software from customers and other teams into the products
  • Write, test, and debug efficient modern C++ code for complex software solutions with AI tooling
  • Work closely with product managers and customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Train and mentor junior engineers as the UK team grows
  • Build software that you are proud of

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/related engineering field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++, or high willingness to learn C++
  • Strong procedural and object-oriented programming experience with clean code principles and good OOP design patterns/principles
  • Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments, and using Linux-based operating systems
