About the role

Hardware Integration Engineer role designing and building compute and sensor hardware for autonomous and AI-driven vehicles across the full hardware lifecycle, collaborating with software, firmware, and mechanical teams to ship reliable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and review schematics and PCB layouts for compute, sensor, and interface hardware
  • Support hardware bring-up and debug, including board-level and component-level troubleshooting
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware functionality, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to integrate hardware with embedded systems and validate end-to-end functionality
  • Work with vendors and contract manufacturers to support prototyping, DFM/DFT reviews, and production ramp
  • Contribute to hardware documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports

Qualifications

  • BS/BA, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
  • Strong fundamentals in circuit design, digital/analog electronics, and PCB layout graduating by December 2026 or Summer 2027
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) for hardware debug and validation
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and hardware specifications
