About the role

Cloud engineers, architects, and automation specialists to build and run cloud-enabled environments for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, with focus on infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, IAM, monitoring, resilience, and cost optimization in a federal accreditation context.

Responsibilities

  • Stand up cloud environments that hold up under continuous operational load
  • Replace manual work with automation people are willing to trust
  • Clear accreditation without letting it become the project
  • You will work on infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, identity and access, monitoring, resilience, and cost, alongside network engineers, security staff, and field teams

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility, ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation (CBP BI) and EOD, active BI strongly preferred. Processing available for candidates without one.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Experience with production workloads in government cloud environments (preferred)
  • Experience writing infrastructure as code used by others
  • Familiarity with federal authorization processes and integrating cloud with legacy systems
  • Active CBP BI, fitness determination at another DHS component, or active DoD clearance (preferred)
  • Comfort with multi-platform tooling and certifications useful but not a substitute for hands-on work
