About the role

Hands-on role to integrate, calibrate, test, and support Osiris optical navigation modules on customer UAVs, including mechanical fitting, wiring, flight controller configuration, fault diagnosis, field repair, and field testing.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate Osiris onto customer UAV platforms: mechanical mounting, power, wiring harnesses, and data links to the flight controller.
  • Configure and tune ArduPilot (and other flight stacks) for correct interoperation with Osiris: MAVLink routing, serial port and telemetry setup, parameter configuration, failsafe behaviour.
  • Calibrate Osiris units (optical and sensor calibration) and validate system performance on the bench and in flight.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty units in the field and on the bench: fault finding, cable and connector repair, module replacement, and verification that the unit meets spec afterwards.
  • Join ground and flight test campaigns and analyse the results on site: pull and review ArduPilot and Osiris logs between flights.
  • Provide immediate, actionable feedback during testing: what worked, what did not, and the root causes.
  • Diagnose issues to root cause (loose connectors, EMI, parameters, or software bugs).
  • Produce test reports after each campaign: flown items, logs, failures and why, in a usable format for customers and engineers.
  • Act as technical point of contact for customer engineering teams: answer questions, train staff, and write integration guides and wiring documentation.
  • Feed field findings back to engineering to improve future integrations.
  • Prepare and maintain integration kits, cabling, and test equipment.

Qualifications

  • Languages: Fluent Ukrainian and working English.
  • ArduPilot: Practical understanding of ArduPilot/PX4; configured flight controller, set parameters, worked with MAVLink, read flight logs.
  • Electronics: Solid practical electronics knowledge; schematics, connectors, power distribution, serial interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet); use of multimeter and oscilloscope.
  • Repair and calibration: Ability to calibrate per documented procedures and repair devices (soldering, cable/connector repair, board swaps, fault tracing).
  • Linux: Basic working knowledge; SSH, navigate filesystem, read logs, edit configs, run scripts.
  • Log analysis: Ability to read flight logs to identify sensor/parameter issues in the field.
  • Tooling: Comfortable with AI assistants and modern IDEs; use for logs, quick analyses, and reporting.
  • Methodical troubleshooting with evidence-based approach.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within Ukraine.
