About the role

Intern/co-op software test engineering position at AMD, focusing on manual and automated testing across multiple phases of the software test lifecycle, with involvement in defect reproduction/troubleshooting, test planning, and collaboration with development teams. Responsibilities

  • Train to develop and complete both automated and manual Test Plans/Test Cases with various test strategies (Functional, Negative, Regression, customer/end user testing, Performance, Reliability, Usability)
  • Prioritize and efficiently handle several concurrent projects and testing tasks
  • Reproduce, troubleshoot, triage defects, report them, and drive to closure
  • Build Test Case/Plan for new features, products (dGPU and APU) and new Operating Systems (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Share ideas to improve current processes
  • Identify metrics and measurements for software QA development cycle and improve efficiency

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based University in a Masters degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Knowledge/Experience with: Software quality analysis process and methodology; PC configuration and troubleshooting; Programming/scripting (Python, VBA, C++, Selenium); PC gaming and graphics technologies (3D graphics concepts/API/Gaming, VR/MR, display technologies, Multimedia, Compute); Linux/Windows development/troubleshooting; Databases and reporting tools
