About the role

AMD internship/co-op for undergraduates focusing on software test engineering across automated and manual testing, with exposure to OS, test plans, defect triage, and QA processes in a hybrid/onsite setting.

Responsibilities

  • Train to develop and complete both automated and manual Test Plans/Test Cases with various test strategies (Functional, Negative, Regression, customer/end user testing, Performance, Reliability, Usability)
  • Prioritize and manage several concurrent projects and testing tasks
  • Reproduce, troubleshoot, and triage software defects; report and drive them to closure
  • Build Test Case/Plan for new features, new products (dGPU and APU) and new Operating Systems (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Share ideas to improve current processes
  • Identify metrics and measurements for various aspects of the software QA development cycle and improve them

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
