About the role

AMD internship for Master’s students in Field Application Engineering focusing on FPGA-based and x86 solutions, with opportunities to develop demos, training materials, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems using FPGA-based and x86 solutions.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of FPGA hardware, x86 servers, software tools, and design methodologies.
  • Develop and present technical demos, proofs-of-concept, and training materials.
  • Work with technology such as machine learning, signal processing, high speed serial I/O.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a US-based University in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Exposure to Digital Design (VHDL / Verilog)
  • Exposure to CPU computer architecture
  • Familiarity with basic programming, data structures and algorithms
  • Exposure to OOP languages (C++ / System Verilog / etc.)
  • Exposure to Scripting languages (Perl / Python)
  • Highly motivated engineers with experience in digital design
  • Engineers interested in technical sales who help customers get their designs done faster
