About the role

Join Apple’s Traffic team to design, develop, and maintain network services, proxies, meshes, and other critical infrastructure components for secure, scalable connectivity across Apple cloud environments. Focused on traffic components such as network proxying, load balancing, security, routing, and QoS to support hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Emphasis on architecture and development at extraordinary scale, with opportunities for mentorship and impact beyond coding.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design, development, and maintenance of network services, proxies, meshes, libraries, and other critical infrastructure components.
  • Architect and implement traffic components including network proxying, load balancing, security, routing, and quality of service.
  • Enhance the network stack for secure service networking, ingress and egress functionality.
  • Contribute to the backbone of Apple’s distributed systems at scale.
  • Collaborate in a collaborative environment, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and support a growth-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Skilled with one or more advanced programming language such as Go, Java, Rust, C or C++
  • Experience building large scale distributed systems
  • Full product lifecycle ownership mindset (design → implementation → production)
  • Growth mindset and passion for improving teams and partnerships
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially with remote teams
