About the role

Software Development Engineer in Test for Apple’s Creativity Applications team focusing on shipping iOS/macOS apps, cloud-based frameworks, and APIs with high quality, validating on-device ML/AI features for creative professionals. Opportunity to contribute to video/video editing tooling and creative workflows, working across test strategy, automation, and CI/CD in a multi-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, designing, writing, maintaining, and executing test strategy and test plans
  • Drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to ensure features are rock-solid and release-ready
  • Reporting bugs with isolation and regression techniques
  • Balancing a wide variety of deliverables and communicating progress and risks effectively
  • Collaborating with team members to coordinate multi-functional test efforts
  • Continuing self-education in AI/ML technologies, editing software, and testing techniques
  • Working on shipping iOS/macOS applications, cloud-based frameworks, and APIs
  • Contributing to tools for creative professionals, video makers, and visual storytellers

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or similar engineering roles
  • Fluent in Python, Swift, and/or JavaScript to prototype features and test with internal tools
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for mobile and web platforms (e.g., XCTest, Selenium, WebdriverIO)
  • Proficiency in testing iOS/macOS and/or mobile apps, cloud-based frameworks, and framework APIs
  • Experience developing/validating GenAI tools or AI-adjacent projects
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Xcode Server)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working on Creator/Creative platform and applications
  • Familiarity with Apple ecosystem and automation for Apple platforms (iOS/macOS)
  • Experience with photo, video, and cloud editing workflows using creative applications is a plus
  • Experience in large-scale web applications and cross-platform test automation
