About the role

Site Reliability and Operations Engineer (SRE) at Apple ETS to automate operations, optimize infrastructure, and ensure reliable, scalable, high-performing systems in a fast-paced environment. Roles span junior to senior levels and emphasize collaboration with engineering teams, learning new technologies, and delivering quality, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Automate operations and collaborate with application teams to improve reliability and performance
  • Optimize infrastructure to support scalable, high-performing systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems; perform RCA
  • Work with monitoring and logging tools to maintain visibility into systems
  • Engage with CI/CD, release engineering, and DevOps practices
  • Participate in incident management and security-related activities as needed
  • Operate in a dynamic, high-energy environment and deliver quality solutions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong foundation in Java or Python/Bash/Lua scripting
  • Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB)
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch)
  • Proficiency in Linux and networking concepts (TLS/SSL, DNS, Load Balancers) and troubleshooting in large-scale environments
  • Proficiency with source control (Git) and understanding of CI/CD, Release Engineering, and DevOps
  • Understanding of security standards, policies, and cryptography
  • Experience with Incident/Problem management and RCA
  • Strong network and load balancing experience (Nginx, Envoy, NetScaler)
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts (networking, storage, secrets, deployments, containerization)
  • Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud, AWS, or GCP is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
