About the role

SRE role within Apple’s Enterprise Technology Services, focusing on automating operations, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring reliable, scalable, high-performing systems across applications that support identity management, factory and device support, infrastructure and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Automate operations and optimize infrastructure in collaboration with application teams
  • Deploy, support, and monitor new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks
  • Advocate for automating manual operational work through software leveraging AI/GenAI technologies
  • Participate in incident/problem management and root cause analysis
  • Contribute to design and implementation of reliable systems in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 8-10+ years in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused role
  • Advanced experience with programming languages or scripting (Python / Bash / LUA / GoLang)
  • Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle, MongoDB)
  • Deep understanding of systems and infrastructure fundamentals
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, release engineering, and DevOps practices
  • Experience deploying, supporting, and monitoring services, platforms, and stacks
  • Strong ownership mindset, clear communication, and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Familiarity with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with incident/problem management and RCA
  • Strong networking and security understanding (TLS/SSL, DNS, load balancers)
  • Experience with Linux internals and distributed systems
  • Experience with distributed systems in public/private/hybrid clouds
  • Hands-on experience with automation/configuration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Spinnaker)
  • Proficiency with Linux, networking concepts, and troubleshooting at scale
  • Understanding of security standards, cryptography, and enterprise policies
  • Experience with AliCloud, AWS, or GCP is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver high-quality results on time
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, secrets, deployments & containerization
