Founding full-stack growth Engineer
About the role
Growth-focused full-stack engineer role at Clara, leading acquisition, onboarding, and lifecycle growth within an AI-powered primary care startup. Responsible for building acquisition and conversion surfaces, product-led growth features, experimentation/attribution, and lifecycle processes in collaboration with clinical/compliance teams.
Responsibilities
- Ship programmatic and SEO-driven page systems for condition, medication and geo intent
- Integrate paid ad platforms with attribution stack so every channel's true contribution is measurable
- Build and iterate high-velocity landing pages and funnels in React + TypeScript
- Own patient acquisition and onboarding end to end
- Build in-product growth loops — activation nudges, referrals, sharing and re-engagement surfaces
- Design onboarding that delivers first value quickly and promotes habitual use
- Design, build and launch experiments and MVPs autonomously—from hypothesis to shipped test to readout
- Turn patient behavior signals into personalized in-product prompts with clinical review in the loop
- Own the experimentation platform end to end — assignment, exposure, guardrails, readouts
- Instrument the funnel in Amplitude and maintain trustworthy event taxonomy
- Partner with clinical team to keep patients engaged long-term and drive better health outcomes
- Build event-triggered lifecycle journeys across onboarding rescue, reactivation and re-engagement
- Own CRM surfaces — email, SMS and in-product notifications—and decision logic about audience and timing
Qualifications
- 3+ years software engineering, including 12+ months in a dedicated growth engineering role
- Strong full-stack ability — React + TypeScript front end, Python or TypeScript services
- Experience with product analytics instrumentation (Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar) and event taxonomy design
- Experience scoping and prioritizing initiatives using RICE or a similar framework, and defending the call
