About the role

Analyst role focusing on the technical core of Accounting including inventory, logistics cost, lease, revenue, investment accounting, and European subsidiary controllership, with a modern automation-supported stack and direct VP Accounting visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing accrual engineering — build and maintain the monthly accrual model across digital, performance, brand and agency spend; reconcile to invoice-level detail using Looker reports, and post journal entries with a clean audit trail.
  • Logistics cost modeling — own first-mile, middle-mile and last-mile carrier costs, freight, customs, duty and tariff; build accrual models tied directly to shipment volumes.
  • Inventory accounting — own inventory costing, valuation and reconciliation, partnering with Supply Chain and Operations to keep the inventory sub-ledger tied to the GL.
  • Lease accounting (ASC 842) — build and maintain lease schedules, ROU asset and lease liability roll-forwards, modifications, terminations and disclosures.
  • Revenue recognition (ASC 606) — own revenue recognition schedules and accruals, including review of contracts with multiple performance obligations.
  • Investment accounting (ASC 320 / ASC 321) — own investment accounting and reporting under US GAAP for debt securities (ASC 320) and equity securities (ASC 321), including reconciliations against custodian/bank statements and periodic roll-forwards.
  • European subsidiary controllership — act as controller for one European subsidiary; own actuals-to-forecast comparison and participate in FP&A discussions.
  • Close mechanics — use AI to prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaids and reserves for owned GL areas with audit-friendly documentation.
  • Reconciliation architecture — GL-to-subledger, bank, vendor, lease, inventory and investment schedule reconciliations.
  • Cross-functional partnership — collaborate with Marketing, Logistics, Operations and FP&A to flag risk and resolve discrepancies.
  • Automation ownership — build and deploy AI agents on Claude Enterprise to automate workflows; engineering support available.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1 year of post-qualification experience.
