About the role
Northwood Space is seeking an RF Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to assist in designing next-generation ground stations and support RF efforts across design, test, and production.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of new RF hardware, as well as improvements to existing designs for enhanced performance and reliability
- Assist in the fabrication and characterization of prototypes for antennas, feeds, and active RF circuits
- Work closely with hardware and software engineers to test and troubleshoot integrated RF performance
- Provide technical support to colleagues in regulatory and site operations
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Basic knowledge of transmission line theory and use of the smith chart
- Experience in Python or another language for data analysis
- 1+ year experience in antenna, RF, or electrical design, fabrication, and test including lab work and university projects
