Senior Staff Deployment Strategist, Operations
Palo Alto$170k - $225kFull-timePosted 1mo ago
About the role
Senior leadership role focused on building ALSO’s operating system for end-to-end vehicle production and delivery, integrating planning, quality, inventory, and delivery across supply chains and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end visibility from factory to customer: WIP, first-pass yield, as-built genealogy from module to vehicle, inventory down to supplier-held stock, and shipment status.
- Build the planning engine across both supply chains, material planning at SKU-by-day, available-to-promise, and the build and fulfillment queues.
- Run the supplier loop: PO confirmations, promise dates, RFQs, design changes, the forecast to tiers 1–3, and component pricing with effectivity.
- Run the physical moves: booking, importation and track-and-trace from CM to 3PL to customer, plus visibility feed from CMs’ systems.
- Close the quality loop: incoming and inline quality, deviations and trends, warranty tracing, and supplier-chargeback defects in the financial system.
- Settle buy-versus-build by shipping: stand up a disposable app for quality, transport and warehouse visibility, instrument the process and let evidence guide future platform choices.
- Engineer the process before you automate it: map reality, remove unnecessary steps, and automate the surviving processes.
- Ship with coding agents in days rather than quarters.
- Embed with the process owner, automate with them, and enable them to change it themselves.
Qualifications
- 8+ years building operations, manufacturing or supply chain software from zero to production, owning the data model and decision logic. Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Daily LLM-native development with coding agents (e.g., Claude) and a rigorous method for proving model output correctness (contracts, tests, evals, reviews).
- Track record of rapid iteration: delivering working software in days and iterating based on real usage.
- Deep SaaS platform expertise: integrating QMS, TMS, WMS or ERP into one data platform, with judgment on when a package is appropriate.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and API, plus ability to translate conflicting data into a single truthful picture.
- Ability to earn trust with unfamiliar teams and progress to the next constraint after automation is live.
- Willingness to travel internationally to contract manufacturers (Taiwan) when needed.
