About the role
Electrical Engineer role at Accenture Construct focusing on independent design assurance reviews for utility-scale CCGT projects, overseeing electrical systems and interfaces, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams onsite at client sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent design assurance reviews of electrical engineering deliverables prepared by the EoR, OEMs, and major equipment suppliers for utility-scale CCGT projects.
- Review electrical deliverables including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, equipment specs, load lists, cable schedules, grounding, raceways, protection and control schemes, relay settings/coordination, short-circuit, load-flow, arc-flash studies, layouts, vendor drawings and other electrical deliverables.
- Provide technical oversight of major plant electrical systems and interfaces (generators, bus, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, VFDs, DC/UPS, batteries, grounding, lighting, etc.).
- Evaluate interfaces among gas turbines, OEM electrical packages, plant auxiliary systems, switchyard/interconnection, protection, synchronization, and DCS/I&C systems.
- Review system capacity, redundancy, reliability, equipment ratings, auxiliary-load assumptions, and design margins to align with operating requirements.
- Review RFIs, technical queries, design deviations, field change notices, and scope changes; provide owner-side recommendations on acceptability, safety, reliability, and cost/schedule implications.
- Review NCRs and electrical installation/quality issues; support mitigation of deficiencies.
