About the role

AI Application Engineer role in AMD's HPC Centre of Excellence, focusing on enabling AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs, customer engagement, performance investigations, and technical documentation. Based in Tokyo, Japan with travel to customers and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • - Support winning new AI business by enabling customers to execute AI workloads on AMD Instinct GPUs and EYC CPUs, and assist partners in RFP responses by testing requested workloads.

Qualifications

  • Track record working within AI with hands-on experience in AI inference or training
  • Demonstrable hands-on expertise with popular AI frameworks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to train customers remotely and in person
  • Ability to prioritize opportunities and deliver results on time
  • Fluent Japanese and good English skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 10-20% annually)
