About the role

Data Analyst intern/co-op position at AMD focusing on data analysis, visualization, and building dashboards to generate business foresights. Onsite, Markham, Ontario or Vancouver, BC depending on posting segment; full-time during term with multiple durations and start dates.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and organize raw data to craft proofs of concepts, prototypes, and implement solutions using relevant analysis methods and visualization techniques
  • Involve in data analysis assignments and report results; train to build data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
  • Build reports, presentations, and dashboards using data visualization tools
  • Collaborate with design/engineering teams on data-driven insights and impact

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Canada-based university in an undergraduate program majoring in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge/experience with Python, SQL, R, Java
  • Data processing, data engineering and/or data science
  • Kubernetes, Tableau, Power BI, data analytics
  • Microsoft cloud services like Azure and AKS
  • Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server data platform
  • Software development (design, implementation, testing)
  • Database design and data modeling
