About the role

Detail-oriented Staff Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to support the Federal Systems Team, ensuring security, compliance, and integrity of classified information systems in a high-performance on-site environment with DoD and IC security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Information Assurance & Security Compliance: Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls in accordance with RMF and NIST 800-53; Ensure compliance with DoD and IC requirements; Review configurations, audit logs, and controls regularly
  • RMF & Accreditation Support: Support RMF lifecycle activities; Maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and related artifacts; Coordinate with ISSM, AO, and stakeholders
  • Continuous Monitoring & Risk Management: Perform vulnerability management and patch tracking; Analyze scan results (ACAS/Nessus); Report system risk posture
  • Incident Response & Audit Support: Support incident response activities; Assist with audits and inspections; Maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Security Oversight: Support CDS accreditation and compliance; Validate configurations and data flows; Coordinate with CDS administrators
  • System Hardening & Configuration Management: Ensure STIG compliance; Maintain secure baselines; Review configuration changes
  • Collaboration & Advisory: Work with engineers and admins on secure design; Provide guidance on MLS environments

Qualifications

  • 8 years in cybersecurity or ISSO/M roles in classified environments
  • Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53
  • Familiarity with STIGs and vulnerability tools
