About the role

Senior Game Artist role on Apple Arcade's first-party games team, focused on Sneaky Sasquatch. Hands-on, individual contributor position shaping the entire visual world of the game, from concept to finished in-game assets, with responsibility for art direction, asset creation, pipeline definition, and collaboration across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create 2D (vector) and 3D assets, including characters, vehicles, props, and buildings, maintaining the established look of Sneaky Sasquatch.
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of art direction, ensuring consistency and a magical feel across all assets, including outsourced work and marketing/editorial materials.
  • Define and refine the team's art pipeline, tools, workflow, and handoffs between concept, production, and technical art to scale with team growth.
  • Support technical art tasks such as asset integration, lighting, shaders, and performance work as needed alongside engineering.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a game artist
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator for 2D vector art and strong 3D art fundamentals
  • Portfolio demonstrating 2D vector illustration and 3D craft on shipped titles
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to uphold visual direction and maintain consistency across a project
  • Artistic style fitting the tone of Sneaky Sasquatch (wholesome, charming, with personality)
  • Experience giving art direction or leading visual consistency across a shipped project
  • Concept art ability to visualize ideas before production
  • Experience with character animation
  • Experience optimizing assets for multiple platforms with varying performance/feature capabilities
