About the role

Role focused on delivering cellular baseband modem RF software for Apple products, coordinating across hardware and software teams, and driving program execution from pre-silicon validation to field/testing and production ramp, with executive level communication and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development of Cellular RF Software controlling the RF transceivers and Front-end components in real-time full signaling mode.
  • Track execution for RF Software plans across project phases from implementation and pre-silicon validation to cellular feature bring-up.
  • Manage productization of RF Software through cellular modem system testing, field testing, interoperability testing, and production ramp.
  • Drive and report RF Software activities for development, validation, non-regression testing, release management, improvements and defect resolution.
  • Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Deliver presentations supporting executive reviews including project status, key metrics, top risks and issues.

Qualifications

  • BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with a track record of hands-on engineering management / leadership or program / project management in the FW/SW domain.
  • Relevant proven experience in wireless modem Layer 1 / RF Software development and/or RF verification.
  • Good understanding about the Development Lifecycle for embedded software / firmware.
  • Good understanding about Development Lifecycle for embedded software.
  • Knowledge of cellular modem baseband building blocks and software layers.
  • Good understanding of RF transceiver and RF front end components control for cellular modems.
  • Knowledge of RF Cellular major features, real-time requirements and associated challenges.
  • Experience in wireless standards a significant plus (5G-NR/4G LTE/UMTS/GSM/CDMA).
  • Ability to quickly establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to lead technical teams and multi-functional groups against plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at senior management level including strong presentation skills.
