About the role

Leader responsible for defining platform strategies, roadmaps, and operating the Supply Chain Planning and Optimization systems within Apple's IS&T Sales and Operations Engineering, including global team management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders across Operations and AppleCare to define supply chain planning strategy and capability roadmap, translating into product roadmaps.
  • Define overall platform architecture and strategy to support supply chain planning and optimization.
  • Research and engage with external vendors and service providers to assess feasibility and fit within the product ecosystem.
  • Manage and deliver on complex, multi-year, global capability roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
  • Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise and thought leadership to inspire innovation and influence business strategy.
  • Manage a large portfolio of engineering programs from funding, resourcing, and timeline perspectives.
  • Provide organizational leadership including org design, leadership and technical skills development, hiring strategy, and managing total cost of ownership.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors.
  • Act as liaison between IS&T and internal partners to design and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Influence decisions and manage change with a customer-focused approach.
  • Manage operational issues and escalations; perform root cause analyses and implement solutions.
  • Define and implement critical metrics to measure the team’s success.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree plus 15+ years of relevant experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience with at least 10+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing global supply chain systems transformation (preferably in high-tech/consumer electronics/retail)
  • Broad expertise in supply chain planning and optimization systems, including trends, vendors, products, and market experts
  • Experience researching, piloting, and applying AI/ML or similar advanced technologies to supply chain planning for autonomous decision-making
  • Strong product and portfolio/project management experience with ability to define long-term roadmaps and execute tactically
  • Background in enterprise technology and systems architecture for highly performant, scalable solutions
  • Experience building and leading high-performing engineering teams for complex enterprise systems
  • Proven ability to lead multiple, matrixed global teams and foster collaboration and results
  • Proven leadership to inspire and motivate teams; empower through influence
