About the role

Software Engineer role in Apple’s Wallet, Payments & Commerce (WPC) team, focusing on building distributed software systems at scale. Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, delivering, and maintaining software, participating in all stages of the development lifecycle, operating and monitoring deployed systems, and collaborating across teams to shape architecture and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deliver, and maintain software for Apple Pay, transit, event tickets, digital keys, and identity within Apple Pay and WPC.
  • Participate in technical discussions, write specifications, review code, and produce documentation.
  • Own solutions with autonomy and responsibility; operate, monitor, and provide on-call support for built software.
  • Collaborate across teams and disciplines; communicate effectively with global teams and external partners.
  • Shape architecture and design through hands-on work across all lifecycle stages.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software systems.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
