About the role

The Wireless Module Engineer (WME) leads wireless module development from early architecture to mass production, coordinating across RF design, packaging, reliability, ATE, and OSAT partners. The role drives RF architecture discussions, oversees module design release, manages ATE maturity and test coverage at OSATs, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and leads failure analysis and continuous improvement to ensure timely NPI readiness and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between internal cross-functional teams and OSATs to align on architecture, specifications, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Mature ATE hardware/software at OSAT and take the RF module to MP with yields meeting Apple quality requirements.
  • Communicate component risks to the executive team and integrate OSAT schedules and risk mitigation into the project.
  • Drive the formal module design release process, including reviews of schematics, PCB layout, RF simulation results, DFM, and test data readiness.
  • Manage module integration and ATE test coverage at OSATs, including load boards, daughter cards, sockets, and handlers, along with software/firmware/module calibrations, GRR, and CPK/data analysis.
  • Lead failure analysis with OSATs post-NPI and implement improvement activities to enhance ATE, test time, yield, and retest rates.
  • Travel to international OSATs for Module & ATE bring up for 1-2 weeks before product NPI builds.

Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
  • Strong RF fundamentals
  • Proven track record for effective written/verbal communication, leading projects with self-motivation
