About the role

iOS Software Engineer responsible for shipping high-quality features in Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, focusing on scalable, consumer-facing applications across Apple platforms (iOS, macOS, iPadOS, visionOS, tvOS) to support customer systems and an innovative Support ecosystem including AI-powered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
  • Build and scale features spanning the entire customer journey to support hundreds of millions of users.
  • Participate in architecting and delivering scalable solutions within Apple’s IS&T portfolio, including AI-related initiatives like Generative AI Support Assistant.
  • Collaborate with peers, management, and business partners to champion ideas and ship high-quality features.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest iOS changes, architectural patterns, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Ensure security, privacy, and deployment best practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in core platform development for native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
  • Strong object-oriented design and modern Swift skills (Concurrency, Swift Testing).
  • Deep familiarity with Foundation, Core Animation, AVFoundation, and relevant iOS SDKs.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of iOS version changes, architectural patterns, and deployment best practices.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Web Services & APIs (Protocol Buffers, JSON, REST).
  • Experience with macOS native app development using Swift, SwiftUI, and AppKit/Cocoa.
  • Objective-C experience for maintaining legacy codebases.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models (Core ML, Create ML, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • CI/CD design and maintenance for Apple platforms.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI concepts (LLMs, diffusion models) and applications in mobile/desktop software.
