About the role

Genius in Apple Retail specializing in troubleshooting, repairing, and educating customers on Apple products and services while maintaining an inclusive, high-standard service environment in-store.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve service concerns for Apple hardware and software.
  • Provide excellent service by understanding customer needs and educating them on product/service options and relevant purchasing methods.
  • Educate customers about repair options and Apple offerings; perform repairs on all Apple products serviced in the store.
  • Mentor and model exceptional service for Genius Bar team members; contribute to team knowledge and education.
  • Identify recurring repair problems and relay feedback to Apple; support leadership in resolving customer escalations.
  • Use extensive knowledge of hardware and software to identify root causes and educate others on the team.
  • Support and educate the broader team by sharing knowledge and insights.
  • Assist with customer-facing activities on or off the sales floor as needed.
  • Respect differences and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or sales, or related work experience.
  • Visual inspection and fine motor skills to safely perform hardware repairs.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a customer service environment.
