About the role

Engineering Project Manager role within Apple’s SAP team under IS&T, focusing on operations or AppleCare Service Management. Responsible for delivering complex enterprise SAP solutions, integrating SAP with external partner systems, extending SAP capabilities, and ensuring secure, scalable end-to-end processes across Apple’s global supply chain and core financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Define system architecture design, collaborate with stakeholders across Business Domains and translate cross-functional business needs into system design and technical specifications.
  • Implement, deploy, and manage technical solutions on SAP platform and integrations between SAP solutions and external partner systems.
  • Design and implement integration between Apple and its Supply Chain partner networks (OEMs, 3PLs, Logistics Carriers, ASP, Repair Centers and Depots, Telco, Resellers, component suppliers, etc) using sFTP, EDI, API, XML, Portals, CPI, Webmethods, BTP solutions.
  • Extend SAP standard features via SAP enhancement and extensibility framework (user-exits, implicit enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, etc).
  • Construct, operate, and maintain end-to-end system process integrations within SAP Core, S/4HANA.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class solutions integrated with Apple’s IT standards and industry best practices.
  • Develop technical specifications and review development team work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide engineering guidance for technical integration with cross-functional teams and external partner systems.
  • Perform integration testing across multiple systems (internal and external) on a worldwide level, manage project cutover, go-live support, and handover to SAP support.
  • Incorporate security and encryption concepts for PII/PIC data handling.
  • Execute projects, set deliverable priorities, and monitor/report progress and results.
  • Participate in partner selection and prepare technical requirement documents.
  • Review partner system design for robustness, scalability, and alignment with Apple’s targets.
  • Lead architecture scaling discussions for NPI and peak events within SAP and related teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Technology or equivalent experience with Supply chain management domain experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of SAP experience in a techno-functional or project lead role.
  • Technical hands-on expertise in SAP Logistics modules (MM/SD/LE), WM, EWM, TMS, EM, SM, APO/gATP/aATP.
  • Specialization in SAP techno-functional/technical knowledge on Service Management, SCM, Operations with relevant SAP modules for consumer and B2B domains.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in customizing and delivering new or enhanced SAP solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead workshops/solutions with stakeholders.
  • Experience managing international projects end-to-end with global teams and partners.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP BTP, SAPUI5 and building integrations using iDocs, EDI, APIs, XML, PIP, ALE, BAPI, RFC, ODATA, SOAP/REST.
  • Experience implementing SAP BTP applications and integrations between SAP and non-SAP solutions, including end-to-end external partner integration.
  • Proficiency in ABAP and Java (code walkthrough and debugging).
  • Understanding of performance engineering concepts for optimization and performance testing.
  • Creative, team-oriented with quantitative and interpersonal skills; willingness to learn across SAP landscape.
  • Knowledge of test automation tools for regression and performance testing.
  • WMS operations and systems experience (SAP, in-house, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, etc).
  • Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript; CAP framework on SAP BTP.
  • Ability to harness Generative AI capabilities across the SAP ecosystem.
