About the role

Sourcing Director responsible for leading apparel sourcing strategy, building a resilient end-to-end supply chain, onboarding manufacturing partners to Quince’s D2C model, and driving KPI performance across quality, speed, availability, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the end-to-end supply chain and sourcing strategy for the apparel categories (top/bottom, Knits), including a multi-sourcing approach to ensure resilience.
  • Onboard new manufacturing partners to the Quince direct-to-consumer (D2C) model and provide coaching on operating within a rapid replenishment, M2C environment.
  • Educate partners on the Quince Operating System (OS), covering:
  • - Operational Excellence: Fostering rapid lead times and a consumer-oriented approach.
  • - Financial Model: Achieving high Return on Invested Capital (ROIC).
  • - Technical Integration: Proficient use of the Vendor Portal.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve key performance indicators: Quality (<0.5% defect rate), Replenishment Lead Time <14 days, In-stock rate >95%, and margin-accretive performance.
  • Lead Catalog Expansion with Merchandising and Product Development to launch new styles and colors approved through NPC.
  • Conduct structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with partner management focusing on strategic alignment, performance, improvements, and future objectives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of director-level Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supplier Management experience with major US-based retailers.
  • Extensive network of partner factories across fabrics (woven, knit, sweater knit) globally, including APAC, IST, and EMEA.
  • Product-obsessed with ability to leverage factories/vendor expertise for design, cost engineering, and go-to-market, with regional material knowledge.
  • GM mindset with supply chain and manufacturing (lean/JIT) experience.
  • Deep understanding of cost for apparel categories and ability to drive cost savings through clean sheets and negotiation tactics.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, execution-focused, and capable of problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Continuous learner, curious, open to new perspectives, proactive in adapting to challenges.
  • Business-savvy with comfort in technology/AI.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
