Senior Product Manager
About the role
Senior Product Manager for the Open Home Foundation Ecosystem department, focusing on ESPHome, Music Assistant & Sendspin, and Voice & Assist projects. Role spans multiple projects with flexibility in combinations, balancing open-source community needs with product leadership, and collaborating with UX, engineering, and contributors worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of product visions and strategies for assigned product(s), including larger strategic roadmap topics and signaling community needs via feature requests and discussions.
- Execute your product vision by bringing opportunities to life, up to delivery, with engineers and designers.
- Join the day-to-day operation of the product development to get the job done.
- Collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and commercial partners.
- Involve the worldwide community from discovery to delivery, monitoring channels (Discord, forums, Github) to collect feedback and ensure projects stay on track.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders and commercial partners (e.g., aligning new hardware product launches with software features).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience delivering value to users as a product manager.
- 3+ years of experience shaping strategy and vision for a product.
- Meaningful experience with full autonomy, and iterative development/releasing.
- Proficiency in working with multi-disciplinary teams (UX designers and engineers), including hands-on project management.
- Proficiency in communication, able to adapt messaging to the audience.
- Comfort with public speaking during workshops, meetups, livestreams, etc.
- Professional Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- European Residency: currently based and eligible to work within Europe.
