About the role
Sterile compounding pharmacy technician based onsite in New Albany, Ohio, performing USP 797 compliant sterile compounding under pharmacist supervision with day shift responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety and environmental SOPs and wear PPE while performing daily tasks.
- Compound sterile medications.
- Prepare components, formulate solutions, perform aseptic filling and/or inspect and package filled units.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities according to facility SOPs.
- Support cleanroom activities including material preparation, equipment calibration, cleaning, dishwashing, sterilization/depyrogenation per SOPs.
- Document compounding-related and routine activities per USP 797 and SOPs.
- Communicate with pharmacists and report lab issues.
- Utilize equipment as instructed by the pharmacist.
- Complete training as required by USP 797
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and National Certification (CPhT)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Full-time availability (40 hours per week)
