About the role
In-house legal role focused on US expansion, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and AI product governance at Solve Intelligence, a YC-backed AI IP platform company.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes B2B SaaS contracts with large law firms and tech enterprises.
- Provide business-oriented legal guidance to AI researchers and engineers to shape the product roadmap safely.
- Navigate privacy (GDPR/CCPA), security reviews, and regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Help build policies and processes to scale the company’s legal operations.
- Develop creative solutions for novel legal issues arising from generative AI.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited school and qualified to practice in New York.
- 5+ years at a top-tier law firm and/or high-growth in-house environment.
- SaaS experience with negotiating complex B2B SaaS agreements.
- Excellent written communication and ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
