About the role

Senior Data Engineer role focused on building and maintaining data pipelines in Azure with Databricks, contributing to a 360° view of data, applying CI/CD practices, and supporting cloud migration and AI model deployment in a financial context.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) in Azure using Databricks for processing and integration
  • 360° view of projects and understanding broader impacts of solutions
  • Implement CI/CD practices for automated deployments and code versioning in GitHub
  • Model and evolve tables in Unity Catalog with proper schema naming and versioning
  • Design and optimize data models for scalability, performance, and governance
  • Support cloud migration projects ensuring data security, quality, and integrity
  • Collaborate with business and data science teams for AI model deployment in cloud
  • Ensure data quality and consistency using data profiling and monitoring techniques
  • Document processes, architectures, and data engineering best practices

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in Azure Data Services and Databricks
  • Experience with Databricks using PySpark
  • Experience with medalhão architecture
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and transformation
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and GitHub versioning
  • Knowledge of analytical data modeling (ingestion, preparation, and consumption layers)
  • Experience in cloud migration projects
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and large-scale data integration
  • Experience deploying AI models and using tools like Azure ML
  • Experience with AI projects and automating pipelines
