About the role

GSOC Operator responsible for 24/7 monitoring of physical security systems, incident management, and coordination with internal teams, service providers, and responders. role includes monitoring WIDS capabilities and on-site operations in Livingston, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive, continuous monitoring and operational checks of Genetec Security Center, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm, environmental and life-safety notification, and related physical security systems.
  • Assess and validate alarms using video, access-control, site data; troubleshoot and escalate system faults or monitoring degradation to engineering, network, facilities, provider, or site teams.
  • Document, route, track, and escalate physical-security system issues and related work items; coordinate technician access and restoration of monitoring capability.
  • Process approved physical-access and credential requests; perform identity verification; package, ship, track, secure, suspend, or deactivate credentials per procedures.
  • Conduct authorized after-hours virtual escorts and maintain continuous monitoring and documentation during escorts.
  • Serve as initial intake and coordination point for physical-security, life-safety, cyber-physical, and monitoring-degradation events; initiate response actions.
  • Create and maintain incident records in Ontic; assign severity; initiate PagerDuty and private /inci escalations when required.
  • Coordinate physical-security components of active incidents (onsite response, CCTV review, access-control correlation, evidence preservation, handovers).
  • Initiate and support post-incident reviews; preserve evidence and document lessons learned; track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain shift-log entries and thorough handovers of incidents, access requests, and monitoring degradation.
  • Provide clear, timely updates to CoreWeave teams, onsite security, service providers, responders, and stakeholders.
  • Operate Wave PTX Dispatch for radio communications; monitor threat, weather, and other sources; prepare advisories and internal reports.
  • Execute authorized Everbridge notifications; monitor delivery and accountability activities.
  • Maintain accurate records in Ontic and Jira; produce incident summaries and reports.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in GSOC/PSOC environments, dispatch, EOC, data center security operations, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, incident management, and emergency communications systems; experience with Genetec Security Center or similar platform.
  • Experience with Ontic, Jira, Slack, Google Workspace or comparable systems.
  • Ability to assess risk, prioritize events, make timely decisions, escalate appropriately, and coordinate response under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain vigilance across multiple systems and communications channels; interpret CCTV, access-control, alarm, and incident information accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; protect sensitive information.
